Looking for makeup lessons in the art of seduction? The faces on the New York runways for Fall 08 had it all- a bit of shimmer and an overall embrace of rich. Read on to get the latest in international make up trends.
The look for this season is smudgy, blended, slightly slept in shadow and yes the lips to be painted red for kissing or bitten-stained into kissed-off rouge was pretty much the definitive trend of the week.
Last season’s fake colors and matte textures was sidelined and replaced with super blended naturally inspired pigments (desert golds, wine reds, midnight blues, and leaf greens).
Just remember to have layers of pigments, an attitude radiating sultry sophistication, play of textures, a little bit of shimmer and an overall embrace of rich, wintery tones notwithstanding, are what look to be setting the pace into. That’s the look this season.
The models at the New York runways had put on royal blue, purple and dark burgundy on the eyes and outer edges of the eyes were smudged out to give a deep dimensional and dramatical look.
The indulgence wasn’t limited to the eyes, there was staining of lips in Night Moth and Deep Wine lipsticks. For the skin they had put M•A•C’s soon to be released Prep+Prime Instant Line Filler, which kicks out shine but keeps up on transparency. What went missing quite conspicuously at the fashion week was lavish mascara. The lids were looking blank and bald.
