When lips have to do the talking, make sure you create an impact with sexy lips! Devil red or chocolate brown; matt or glitter kissed!
Suitable Shades
For those with fair complexion, there are a whole lot of shades you can try. Go for pinks, natural shades, blood red and dark brown and peach. Wear bright shades for the day and darker ones at night.
Coffee, caramel, magenta and lilac shades are for those with medium or tanned skin. Coffee and caramel look great on dark skin too. If you love metallic shades, pick copper over gold or silver. Lilac and purple shades will make you look like you have been poisoned, so avoid.
Always pick shades according to the occasion. Wearing a metallic shade for a job interview is not going to impress the boss!
Wear it Right
* Step 1: Moisturise your lips with a lip balm or a lip conditioner. If you are out of both, use normal face moisturiser.
* Step 2: Create an outline using a lip pencil or a lip liner. Make sure you choose a shade lighter than your lipstick. Start by making a 'v' in the upper lip and then move on to the corners.
* Step 3: Fill your lips with the colour of your choice, preferably using a lip brush. Use lip gloss to add shine and make your lips appealing for special occasions.
Glossy Lips
Gloss looks great but make sure to choose a shade that is close to you skin tone. To bring out your sensuality, use natural shades the way Bipasha Basu did in 'Jism'. To prevent gloss from running out, make sure you line your lips using a lip liner. When filling gloss, start from the upper lip and then move to the lower lip.
Never use too much gloss; just fill on the inner side of lips.
